Doula Ready, LLC is a professional service that meet the needs of the pregnant professional woman and person and new mother with 24-hour available Doula Ready services.  Pregnant professional women and new mothers need flexibility due too busy and demanding schedules; Doula Ready fulfills this option with available on call with certified doulas; providing labor support or postpartum care. 

Doula Ready can provide a one-time consultation or full services throughout the pregnancy, with information to help you make informed decisions during your pregnancy, labor, birth and thereafter.  Doula Ready, LLC, will be with you at the time of your birth to provide labor support to you and to your partner and/or extended family.   Doula Ready provides evidenced based information for coping with normal pregnancy discomforts, and helps with birth visioning exercises to create your birth plan, labor management and for birthing your baby.  Doula Ready helps prepare for cesarean section deliveries and for vaginal birth after a caesarean (VBAC).

Doula Ready professional postpartum service will help you to adjust during the physiological changes that occur in the six-week period after the birth, including herbal baths, belly binding, resources, and massage, breastfeeding and infant feeding support, newborn care, nourishing meals and other essential service to support adjusting to new parenting, including housekeeping, food preparation, and postpartum herbal drinks to help the body regain strength from birthing (Romm, A. J., 2003).  

Doula Ready, LLC, provides the care for the mother and her family to enhance infant, mother and family bonding.  Doula Ready, LLC, honors the universal practice of mothering the mother, so she can mother her baby.  It is a system that has worked since the beginning of time (Kitzinger, S. 2000).

Doula Ready, LLC empowers the father/partner and the extended families’ by offering or modeling comfort measures, explaining medical procedures, advocate for the birth plan, reduce fear, and provide resources and validates the wisdom of the mother to know what is best for her and her baby, in the hospital, birth center or home setting.

What is a Doula?

The word doula is Greek and it means a woman’s servant.  In the USA, a doula services have been available for over 50 years.   A doula is a trained woman or man who are trained to support women emotional, physically and throughout the pregnancy and postpartum experience, including breastfeeding support.  A certified doula is trained to understand the needs of a pregnant, laboring and birthing woman to respond to those needs in a calm and supportive manner, and to help with newborn care.  

Doulas do not give medical advice or perform clinical duties. Doulas understand the stages of labor and how to support the pregnant women in labor and birth, and the phases of the six-week postpartum period. Doula Ready, LLC recognizes that the postpartum can extend beyond six-weeks.
